HISTORY
Starting up in 1994, cni.inc was one of the first web development shops on the east coast. Some of our early clients included Markel, Signet Bank, Heilig Meyers, Cadmus, Hubbell, Cranbrook, Henrico Country & Bild Germany.
In 1996 cni.inc merged with Tekna and quickly grew into one of the premiere web shops in that time. Over
the next several years we worked with many well-known US companies, helping them establish an early web presence.
Among these were Goodyear, GE, Disney Kids, Sega, Eskimo Pie, NYNY Casino, Ocean Spray, Anthem, Crown Books, many
others.
Brian Hinson/cni.inc partnered with Gary Weiner of Saxon Shoes in 1998 to form one of the first Internet
shoe companies. Shoedini.com grew in recognition and was chosen to be included in the initial group of companies
partnering with Amazon to form their first marketplace. This was in the period where Amazon was making their
transition from selling just books, to everything. Many parts of that very system are still in use
today. Shoedini was purchased in 2001 and merged into 6pm.com
We also developed the Arby's Coupies™ program, a complete email couponing system with online and in-store components tied to website subscription services through which coupons were email to subscribers through Arby's franchises.
Previous to Shoedini, we were a development partner in the HyperChannel, which was among the first web-based application-taking systems. The product was used by several financial institutions across the country.
Today cni-inc continues to provide internet strategy, custom online and email marketing , coupon delivery systems and e-commerce consulting. We are known to be easy to work with and for having the skill of finding cost effective solutions to complex challenges.
